Swift Flow Plumbing
A marketing and lead-generation website for a London-based emergency plumbing company — designed to convert anxious homeowners into booked jobs.
Overview
Swift Flow is a Greater London plumbing company offering emergency repairs, boiler servicing, and bathroom installations. They had no web presence and were relying entirely on word of mouth. The brief was to build a site that could bring in new customers and convert them quickly — particularly people in emergency situations who need to act fast.
The challenge
Emergency service websites have a specific conversion dynamic: the visitor is stressed, on a phone, and needs to trust the business within seconds. The site needed to communicate reliability and speed above everything else — no clutter, no friction between landing and making contact. At the same time, it needed to rank for local search terms, so performance and semantic structure mattered.
What I built
A statically generated Next.js site with a clean, fast layout optimised for mobile conversion. The structure leads with trust signals and contact options before anything else, with services and social proof further down the page.
- ·Service catalog covering all six core offerings — emergency repairs, boiler servicing, bathroom installations, central heating, drain unblocking, and leak detection
- ·Prominent phone, WhatsApp, and quote-request CTAs repeated at multiple scroll depths
- ·Customer testimonials section with structured markup for potential rich results
- ·No-call-out-fee and same-day availability messaging positioned above the fold
- ·Lighthouse scores above 90 across performance, accessibility, and SEO before handover
Technical decisions
Next.js with static generation was the right call here — there is no dynamic data, so pre-rendering everything gives the fastest possible load time, which matters on mobile on a slow connection. Tailwind gave the design velocity without a heavy CSS footprint, keeping the bundle lean. No backend, no database, no CMS — the client updates their phone number and hours via a quick redeployment, which keeps ongoing hosting costs near zero.
Outcome
The site is live and serving as the business's primary digital presence. All inbound leads now have a credible web destination to reference, and the WhatsApp and phone CTAs give the client direct conversion paths without any ongoing platform cost.
